The World Out of Home Organization (WOO) has announced its first annual award since 2019 at its Toronto Global Congress. This is WOO’s first private global congress since the pre-epidemic in Dubai in 2019.
The Lifetime Achievement Award goes to Oh! Media co-founder and former CEO. Brendon Cook. Cook made Oh! Australia and New Zealand’s leading out-of-home media companies and a major player on the world stage. He is a former board member of WOO and led two expert panels of programmatic OOH in Toronto 2022.
Cook, former WOO president Antonio Vincenti Picasso and former executive director John Elary Included as an inaugural honorary lifetime member of the World Out of Home Organization Fellowship.
The joint winners of the 2022 Leadership Award were: Broadsign President and CEO Bar Smith And Charmine Moldrich, Smith, CEO of the Outer Media Association of Australia (OMA.) Has helped make Montreal-based Broadsign one of the world’s leading OOH technology companies. Moldrich has provided 12 years of inspiring leadership for OMA with great success in audience research and measurement.
Ricardo Quiros da Costa Bastos – Dream Media Portugal. At just 33 years old, Ricardo is already the leader in Portugal’s largest operator of static billboards, digital billboards and activation media and roadshows. This section was highly acclaimed Sierra Kennedy Of VistarMedia and Annabel Mizen Of evolution
WOO President Tom Goddard Says: Brendon Cook, Burr Smith and Charmine Moldrich are the three legends of the global OH industry while Ricardo Quiros da Costa Bastos is definitely going there.
